The Globe Broadband @Home plans are mainly sold by third party agents Globe calls BBSPs or Broadband Sales Partners. There are numerous agencies scattered all throughout the archipelago who maintains sales agents that peddles daily to houses offering Globe Telecoms broadband packages and I am one of them.

The confusion among subscribers, especially the new ones regarding their bill, arises from the agent's failure to fully discuss the specifics of the product they are selling especially billing. Globe's directive regarding this matter is very strict and it should be complied for by any agent who represents Globe Telecoms to fully disclose the billing system. Agents who are on the rush to earn a commission from the sale they make may forget to fully discuss the most important subject, the Bill.

So to make things clear, I will discuss one specific plan, in this case Plan 1099 whether LTE or Wimax.

PLAN SPECIFICS:

• Speed 2 Mbps
• Bundled with SHP (Super Home Phone)

• Upfront Payment (1 MSF + 200 SHP Activation Fee)

CHARGES:

1. MSF (Monthly Service Fee) paid in advance (P1,099)
2. Installation Fee P,1000.00 (paid in 3 monthly installments at P333.33/mo on top of the Bill)
3. Super Home Phone Activation Fee is 1200. (P200 paid in advance the rest in 5 monthly installments of P200)

To Sum-Up:

The Upfront payment paid during installation is credited on the second month, so the first bill will only arrive by the second month, a combined 1st and 2nd Bill.

To beat the stiff competition, Globe Telecoms updated its 4G LTE, Wimax and DSL Plans to stay at the edge. Strategies like this brought a steady stream of customers to the Globe @Home Broadband segment with a conversion rate of more than 10 subscribers per day (in Ilocos Norte), so saturation is very close. Sarrat, Solsona and Dingras Nodes are already close to being fully utilized but the clamor for more lines is obvious.

What could be the reason why so many people seemed to like Globe Broadband in general? Maybe, Globe's superior service and performance, price and functionality could be the primary factor considered by clients in contrast with the other service providers.

The addition of a Super Home Phone (also a landline phone) that boasts FREE UNLIMITED calls to Globe/TM Network nationwide attracted  businesses and home makers alike to avail of the service. Globe LTE 4G Package

Globe LTE @ Home is now more than a year since it's introduction last July 1, 2013 initially to Paoay, Sarrat and Pasuquin. With Globe's commitment to provide high value internet packages to it's consumers, additional areas are now covered. In, Ilocos Norte additional LTE sites are as follows: Solsona, Dingras, Pagudpud and Piddig. A bigger area of coverage was planned a year ago and that includes other provinces as well, in fact, nationwide.

The Globe @ Home LTE package features unlimited calls to Globe and TM for Free nationwide. It also sports a modem with 4 LAN ports and a WiFi already built-in for WiFi enabled devices. The SHP (Super Home Phone) is a mobile unit capable of placing NDD and IDD calls with a FEE. Short Messaging service is also activated, however a fee of P.85 is charged for every SMS within Globe/TM network and a little higher to other Networks.

As "Project Rain Fire" comes to an end by April 10, 2013, I have seen a lot of of other network subscribers trying to terminate their current subscriptions just to experience what Globe Telecom subscribers are enjoying.

The call quality was superb, no noise, no static whatsoever was observed during my calls. It was actually very clear and loud! Just the UNLI-CALL alone, I could say that I am willing to pay for this meager amount  for the quality service.

The DATA service (Internet) is also very stable. There are only a few occasions when speeds drop due to the ongoing upgrades but only on short durations. During peak hours, the speed is still within the specified range which very much favorable to online marketers like me and as well as those with online businesses.
