10 Inch Fast Pad Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4 Sold by CDR-King Works with Globe Tattoo Stick E153u-2

The 10 inch Fast Pad (Android ICS 4.0.3) Tablet sold at CDR-King is for me a nice gadget to have for its price. I could make use of it as a document storage, note-keeper and book reader. But one thing came to my mind. How about internet capability?

The Fast Pad is WiFi ready but how about if you go to places where it's not available. So I asked one of the sales ladies if it is 3g capable. The answer was affirmative but there are only a few dongles that it could support. They are:

So I bought one for P 6,990 instead of the cables and wifi router that I had in mind earlier to see for myself if my Globe Tattoo E153u-2 would work. It's not in the list however, if it works then it's good.

I inserted my postpaid sim in the 3g dongle (Globe Tattoo E153u-2) and waited for something to happen. After a minute, the 3g indicator on the 10 inch Android Fast Pad lit and 3 bars appeared and then the 3g icon appeared and so you know, it worked!

That was out of the box and how about prepaid? Well a little editing of the APN and you are good to go with a prepaid sim.

The 10" Fast Pad was fast too, I could play without obvious lag Temple Run a 3D animated game created by Imanga. The Fast Pad comes with a Allwinner Cortex-A8 processor. It sports a MP 400 GPU runing at 350Mhz.

The specs are pretty good especially for a cheap android tablet like the FastPad Android Tablet. I will include a review of the tablet in the forthcoming posts.
